Campaign #1: Comfort Bags for Caregivers
While we are gathering as a family Labor Day weekend, there will be others who would love to be in their homes or celebrating the holiday weekend with family members. We want them to know that they are not alone and that there are people who care. So, we will assemble and distribute comfort bags for caregivers who are caring for a hospitalized loved one. The bags will be assembled on Saturday and distributed at Children's Hospital ( on Tuesday, September 4th.
Campaign #2: Healthy Schools-Healthy Children Campaign
Whew! Now that we’ve made it through the back-to-school season, there is another season approaching that can take children out of class just as quickly as we have sent them back to school. Yep, you guessed it cold and flu season! As a way to prepare, teachers often ask for supplies to combat sickness in the beginning of the school year; however, some families can’t afford to buy them or the supplies run out before the season is in full gear. So we will gather, package, and deliver needed supplies to Morris Jeff Community School ( We will gather and package the supplies on Saturday and deliver them to the school on Tuesday, September 4th.

We’ve been able to secure outside seed money to help with each of these projects through Thrivent Financial. However, we need donations from you and your network to help to make these projects a complete success.

Please join us on Saturday and bring an item (or as many as you would like) to add to the bag or box.

Comfort Bag Donations: adult activity books (word find, coloring book, crossword puzzles), colored pencils, pens, candy, small gift card, comfy socks, specialty tea/coffee, packaged snacks, small inspirational book, notebook to keep track of important information, reusable coffee/tea mug/to-go cup etc.

Healthy Schools Donations: Individually Wrapped Paper Towels, facial tissue, disinfecting wipes (non-Clorox), anti-bacterial soaps, hand sanitizer.

Look forward to seeing you Saturday morning as we put a little a love in a bag for parents/caregivers and work to keep students, teachers and staff healthy this school year!

NOTE: If you are unable to make it Saturday morning, donations will be collected and added to bags and boxes throughout the weekend.
